Growing up, my mom read to me CONSTANTLY. She started with smaller books and then eventually read chapter books to me and I'd wait in anticipation for bedtime to come so that she would read me the next chapter. I think that's why I love to read so much.

I see this developing with my daughter. Sometimes when I put her to bed, I hear her "reading" to her stuffed animals. She is sooo smart and has already developed this love for words. She questions what books say, she likes to try new words...I love it...

Once again, another reason why I'm so lucky that Isabelle and my mom and dad are so close.

And the thumb.,....yeah, it was around 5:30 on a day that was full of activity...so she was a bit tired...i still think it's adorable. But then again..I'm her mom!!
